Refund and Cancellation Policy

 

Tuition is due at the time of registration. Your space is guaranteed only when payment is received. All classes are contingent on sufficient enrollment. Tuitions will be returned if a class is cancelled. In the case of Registrant cancellation, REFUNDS (minus a $25 processing fee) ARE GIVEN ONLY IF THE OFFICE IS NOTIFIED ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE START OF FIRST CLASS. No refunds after classes have started.

Classes are designed to afford interested students the exciting experience of rehearsing a piece from start to finish. Regular attendance by all students is very important, particularly where indicated below. Please check your schedules before signing up students for classes.

Sledding and skiing and snowmen… oh my!  Come in from the wintry weather as we act out stories of snowmen, snow trolls, storms and all things frozen!

KIDS KOMPANY

Students will experience the excitement of putting on a play, improvising scripts, auditioning for roles, rehearsing, and creating simple costumes to accent their characters. This class will focus on performance skills with special emphasis on class collaboration. The session will conclude with an informal performance.

BROADWAY DANCE

Love all those big musical theater dance numbers? Come see how it’s done and try it yourself! Join us to learn choreography to musical theater songs and astound yourself as you perform a full fledged dance number. No dance background necessary. An informal presentation will conclude the class.

PLAY LAB!

WELCOME TO THE LABORATORY! Here, we’ll be cooking up all kinds of theatre experiments, as we explore what it means to create an entirely original piece from scratch as an ensemble — an introduction to the craft known as “Devised Theatre.” Students will have the opportunity to build a strong, supportive ensemble, learn tools for building a theatrical world and the characters that live inside it, and ultimately create a story with a message that is important to them. Limit 16 students.

ACTING SHAKESPEARE

Curious what the big whoop is about Shakespeare? Shakespeare’s plays are full of juicy plot lines, hilarious comedy, and big bold characters — endless fun for actors! But sometimes his old poetic language and the way we talk about him can make Shakespeare a bit intimidating, right? In this workshop, we will start with the basics to learn how to break down Shakespeare’s language and poetry and how to activate it in your body, so you not only know what you’re saying but actually have fun saying it! Soon you’ll see how wild and fun Shakespeare can really be!

Love Saturday Night Live? Learn the fundamentals of improvisation and comedy through games, exercises, and scene work. New and returning students learn how to work together as an ensemble and be part of an improv troupe! Gain confidence on stage and in school! Fun, supportive environment.
