A Series of One-Acts – Spring Teen Performance
A series of one-acts will include: The Great Pandemonium by Pat Cook, spotlights a director hovering close to the edge of madness as he attempts to run a technical rehearsal just before opening night. Medea by Christopher Durang & Wendy Wasserstein is about Medea and her chorus of three women trying to figure out if it’s appropriate to kill your children just to punish your husband. Sure Thing by David Ives, about a chance meeting of two characters, Betty and Bill, whose conversation is continually reset by the use of a ringing bell. English Made Simple by David Ives, a romantic comedy full of twists and turns about a couple named Jack and Jill who meet at a party. And finally Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher, a story of a woman who overhears a murder plot
Auditions: February 14, 6:30 – 8:30, Callbacks February 16, 6:30 – 8:30
Rehearsals: Tuesday & Thursday 6:30 – 8:30
First Rehearsal: Tuesday, February 28, 6:30 – 8:30
Performances: April 6, 7, 8 at 7:30; April 9 at 2:30
This program is open to young people in grades 9 – 12. Rehearsals are held in the evenings two to three times a week. Participation in this program is by audition and the tuition is $425.
