Classes will be held at Concord Youth Theatre, 358 Baker Avenue, Concord, MA unless otherwise noted.

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER for a class marked "Regular Attendance Required" without reading this note! These classes are designed to afford interested students the exciting experience of rehearsing a piece from start to finish and performing it for a live audience. For these classes to succeed, regular attendance by all students is absolutely crucial. This promotes an understanding of individual responsibility, fosters group ensemble, and provides the necessary continuity in rehearsal. Please check your schedules carefully for conflicts before signing up for classes so indicated. Should a conflict arise, call the office immediately. Thank you.


FAIRY WINGS & HAIRY THINGS
3 - 4 years

Come toss some fairy dust with us and fly to a world where trolls stroll and unicorns prance. Using their imaginations and sense of fun, children will befriend and become these magical creatures as they act out tales on the stage. Limit 8 students.

STORY INTO PLAY
5 - 6 Years
Joey Talbert
Join our favorite storyteller, Joey, and help her explore the dramatic side of some well-known (and other not so well-known) children's stories. Learn to create a character from the story and bring that character to life on the stage. This fun class is a perfect introductions to theatre for the young child.. Limit 8 students.

INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE
Grades 1 - 3

Students will be involved in the process of creating a Mini-Musical, using stories such as fairy tales and folk tales together with songs. The class will use simple scripts or improvise dialogue and be coached in acting, singing and staging of the musical. An informal performance will conclude the session. Limit 12 students. Regular attendance required.

SING & SHIMMY
Grades 3 - 6

Have you been waiting to take Broadway Dance but not able to because of your grade? Here's your chance to take the same class as the older performers using much of the same material. Rehearsing songs from well-known broadway musicals, students will practice expressing character while singing and following simple choreography. No dance experience necessary, but best if you can walk and chew gum at the same time! An informal presentation will conclude the class. Limit 14 students. Regular attendance required.

KIDS KOMPANY
Grades 1 - 3

A special opportunity for young thespians! This class will focus on performance skills with special emphasis on ensemble work. Students will experience the excitement of putting on a play: auditioning for roles, rehearsing, and creating simple costumes to accent their characters. The session will conclude with an informal performance. Limit 12 Students. Regular Attendance Required.

Can’t particiate in our mainstage production company because you don’t have enough time in your week, but love the great shows? Here is a unique chance to learn and perform scenes and songs from our spring production of Alice In Wonderland. Emphasis is on developing successful presentation skills. Informal performance will conclude the session.

Love all those big musical theatre dance numbers? Come see how it’s
done and try it yourself! Join us to learn steps to familiar musical theatre
songs and astound yourself as you put them all together to perform a fullfledged dance number. No dance background necessary. An informal
presentation will conclude the class. Limit 20 students.
